18 years ago, give or take, I was going through a rough time in my life. Newly single parent, depressed, overweight, mostly drunk. What professionals call a "mess." I managed to pull it together enough respond to an article in the local paper about some crazy cats calling themselves Outsiders Productions. They were making no budget Indy films because no one told them they shouldn't.
I volunteered. Flash forward through multiple film projects and awards, a 3 time Heartland Emmy winning music docu-series, a brotherhood that has survived more than a couple bumps in the road, and here I am, standing on the edge of 50, wondering where those days have gone.
Early on the fellas took to calling me Beard - because they couldn't remember my given name - Which is actually Chad, according to my mother.
But Beard... That's who I am. For more than the obvious.
Photography actually led me to film I think. But, with all the other creative things I do, it has taken me a while to get my photos organized and on display. So I'm excited to share some of my work with you here. Hopefully you see something you like. If by chance you decided to bring a piece into your home or business, I would love to see where it lives! Feel free to drop me a note with a picture!
